This model is by Dark Slave Miniatures. The cape was Games Workshop reds, which I really like using for Spartan cloaks, as it is a nice, rich color. This figure is by NapoleoN miniatures (http://www.fremm.es/napoleon/). The sculpt was quite difficult to clean, and the face was covered by the shako so that I couldn't paint the eyes, which was unfortunate...However, I was pleased with the final result!

Just got some new Foundry paints, and with them I ordered a pack of cowboys. Here is the first!The coat/vest is Foundry Moss, and the red on the pants are Madder Red. That hat is Rawhide. For the flesh I did a mix of Vallejo Flat Earth and Foundry Flesh A, the next layer was GW Dwarf Flesh, followed by Foundry Flesh B, and finally Foundry Flesh C.For this figure I painted the eyes quite small....

I was quite inspired by the 20mm plastics on Steve Dean's website (http://steve-dean.co.uk/images/projects/20mm-plastic/d-plastic.htm), so I decided to give this model a try. It is an American militia from the Revolution, and is made by Italeri. The cloak is Vallejo English Uniform, which his, in my opinion, one of the finest drab browns available.

Here is another spearmen from Foundry. I haven't finished the shield yet, and am waiting for some transfers to arrive from LBM. I have been experimenting with a different technique for painting faces - and this is the first product of my new method. I essentially covered most of the dark shade layer with the lighter layers, so that the face looks lighter and brighter.

Shields are a very hard thing to paint - but I believe that I have finally found a good way of doing them. Take a look at this model:I did a basecoat of Foundry Base Sand Shade, than applied a decal. Now, in oval lines I painted stripes around the shield in Foundry Base Sand Medium. Than, go over all of the stripes with a thin mix of paint and water (Base Sand Medium). Some people have asked how I base my miniatures, so here is a tutorial with pics. First I use cheap Spakling paste and cover the base of the model. Spakling paste is what sheetwall installers use to fix up house rooves and such. Here is a newly painted British Officer (Early) from Foundry. He is painted completely in the Foundry Paint System except for the undercoat and the yellow (which is GW). The model is painted as the 1st Battalion of the 28th Infantry Regiment (North Gloucestershire).Also, when cropping this picture I noticed that a bit of the base has become scratched - I will have to fix that!

Here are some work-in-progress British Shermans. I haven't yet applied the decals or added any marking, but I plan to do those very soon. The models are by Command Decision, and I was very pleased with these miniatures. They were fairly well sculpted and easy to assemble. The camouflage pattern is one that the British used in Sicily.

Here are some Lord of the Rings Khazad Guard that I finished painting. The rocks on the bases were made from cork, cut and painted grey, than highlighted appropriately. I used a pin-vice drill, some wire, and superglue to attach the models to the cork/rock. I had a lot of fun with the beards, and used red and blue as undercoats for them.

I just finished an officer in the Polish Lancers (Waterloo Campaign). He is the first ever Napoleonic miniatures I have painted, and I had a lot of fun working on him. I had a lot of fun painting these Battlefront Universal Carriers - they really are great models. I added tons of stowage out of green stuff, and the camo net is masquito netting that I got from Wal-Mart. The tea phrase was actually painted onto a real vehicle in WWII - I saw it in a picture from the 8th Army.

This is a German '88'. I painted the crew as Waffen-SS, for the summer in the Russian front. The crews don't have head covers and some even have the early war symbol painted on their helmet sides.

Below are some picture of 15mm models mounted on Warhammer bases. I use them for playing WAB, but substitute a 15mm in place of a 25mm model - no distance changes or anything. All of the models are used for Gauls and other Celtic allies. This is usually the type of detail I like to apply to 15mm models. Note that all of the shields were hand painted.
