20mm 1st Regiment of Voltigeurs of the Guard

This figure is by NapoleoN miniatures (http://www.fremm.es/napoleon/). The sculpt was quite difficult to clean, and the face was covered by the shako so that I couldn't paint the eyes, which was unfortunate...

However, I was pleased with the final result!

British Napoleonic Corporal

I tried a darker basetone on the skin of this figure, and must say that I will be using it more often...

The model is by Foundry.

Prince August Polish Lancer

Here is a homecast 25mm Polish Lancer (mould by Prince August). These models are a bit "old school" in their style of sculpting, so the face did not have much detail at all! This was one of my first attempts at doing Polish Crimson, and I must say I was rather happy with the results...

Next I am going to try my hand at some more "modern" sculpts! I have some Foundry British lying around that will see my brush shortly.

Napoleonic British Officer

Here is a newly painted British Officer (Early) from Foundry. He is painted completely in the Foundry Paint System except for the undercoat and the yellow (which is GW). The model is painted as the 1st Battalion of the 28th Infantry Regiment (North Gloucestershire).

Also, when cropping this picture I noticed that a bit of the base has become scratched - I will have to fix that!

British Infantryman of the Kings German Legion

Here is a trooper from the Kings German Legion (Centre Company). He is a Price August Homecast. The face and hands were not that detailed, so I had to make up fingers, etc... Overall, however, I think he turned out rather nice. I still need a better camera, though! Mine doesn't have a Macro.

This little laddy is a present to a friend. He currently does 54mm Britains and I am trying to get him into wargaming.

Polish Lancer (Officer)

I just finished an officer in the Polish Lancers (Waterloo Campaign). He is the first ever Napoleonic miniatures I have painted, and I had a lot of fun working on him. The model is a Prince August homecast, and was a very nice miniature - well sculpted and and well proportioned. From the pictures he looks glossy, but I can assure you that he is not like that in real life. I used an excellent book from my library called Uniforms of the Napoleonic Wars, 1796-1814, by Philip J Haythrnthwaite. On Amazon.com it is quite expensive!
