Below are some pics of a 54mm Civil War confederate (Prince August Homecast). He was painted before I figured out how to shadow my models.....so is not one of my finest pieces.

Looks great to me, the only suggestion that I would have is to make the bayonet a bit thinner, looks pretty big right now.
As a reenactior, I always like seeing Civil war minis. I hope you find some time to paint more!

Yeah, the bayonet was something I was annoyed about... :-)
I may try shaving it down next time.
