Napoleonic British Officer

Here is a newly painted British Officer (Early) from Foundry. He is painted completely in the Foundry Paint System except for the undercoat and the yellow (which is GW). The model is painted as the 1st Battalion of the 28th Infantry Regiment (North Gloucestershire).

Also, when cropping this picture I noticed that a bit of the base has become scratched - I will have to fix that!

Hello matey

Very nice standard of painting you are achieving there. Wish my eyesight was up to doing as well as you!

Coupla things - the 28th wore the stovepipe shako throughout the Napoleonic wars whereas this guy wears the Belgic style, so he can't be of the 28th Regiment. He would represent any other yellow-facings regiment well though, eg the 44th which fought at Waterloo.

Also the sash should be crimson and the water bottle light blue.

He has red wings so he must be a grenadier company officer, so should have a grenadier's all-white plume.

Nice figure though!
